We then lunched at Tom's Deli which is owned by restaurateur and entrepreneur Tom Conran. I was excited because Tom also owns one of my favorite pubs The Cow (the location of one of my many memorable first dates with Alex, but I digress) so I knew it would be something to enjoy. It's deli/diner style is the perfect setting for lunch and the nice weather means the patio was open along with all the doors and windows to let the summer air through. I topped my food fest with crab cakes and a Bloody Mary - Annie enjoyed Eggs Benedict and a tropical smoothie and we then hobbled (Food coma in my case, in Annie's case, 37 weeks of pregnancy) to the bus home. (Story update: Annie went into labor that night and gave birth the next day!!)
With the Olympics in town Alex and I couldn't justify seeing the new Batman movie until games were officially over so we finally made our way to Wimbledon Imax to enjoy after my day of pampering. It's epic, you should see it.
Finally, last night my second birthday continued with a trip to our favorite restaurant, Prince of Wales. We've sent many friends and customers here and have eaten here many times. It's never a disappointment. We also had a voucher for a free bottle of prosecco for my birthday, thank you POW!
So I can finally say goodbye and farewell to my birthday. Except I still have that wine/cheese voucher to use from Amy (Oh birthdays are fun).
